Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026 · Life Like (whatsyourlifelike.com)

Life Like is a free, browser-based game. This policy explains what little data it touches. The short version: the game runs entirely in your browser, we don't have accounts, and we don't collect personal information on our servers.

What's stored on your device

To make the game work, we save the following in your browser's localStorage — on your device only, never sent to us:

You can erase all of it any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Accounts & personal data

There are no accounts and no sign-up, and the game itself doesn't require any personal information. Two optional features involve data you choose to provide:

Cookies & advertising

If and when advertising is enabled, the game may use Google AdSense to display ads, and you'll be asked to consent first. With your consent, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can learn more and manage choices at Google's Advertising policies and Google Ads Settings. You can decline in our banner, after which no advertising cookies are set by us.

Analytics

We use no third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, and no cross-site tracking. To understand how the game is used (how many people play, how many are online, and broad engagement), we keep a simple first-party, cookieless measure: a random, anonymous id is generated in your browser and stored on your device, and the server records only that id plus timestamps and a count of lives played. It contains no name, email, IP address, location, or any other personal information, and is never sold or shared. Clearing your site data removes the id. Our host (Cloudflare Pages) may also keep standard, aggregated server logs for security and reliability.

Children

Life Like isn't directed at children under 13. If advertising is enabled, ad personalization is handled in line with the consent above.
